Best time to visit Singapore

Singapore is hot and humid all year, around 25–32 °C (77–90 °F). February to April tends to be a little drier.

The northeast monsoon brings the most rain from about November to January; showers are usually heavy but short.

Getting to Singapore

Changi Airport (SIN) is a destination in itself, home to the Jewel complex and its indoor waterfall. The MRT, taxis and ride-hailing connect it with the city in 20 to 40 minutes.

Practical tips

  • Eating and drinking on the MRT is not allowed, and chewing gum is not sold; fines apply.
  • Arrival rules require completing the SG Arrival Card online before landing; check the official ICA site.
  • Carry an umbrella: it helps with both sudden rain and the midday sun.
